Why work with me?
I'm Roger, a full-stack web developer based in Devizes, and I've been self-employed doing this since 2000. When you hire me, you're not getting an account manager, a call centre or a chatbot. You're getting one person who builds your website, answers the phone, and sticks around.
That's a very different thing from a website builder or a big agency, and for most small businesses it's a much better fit. Here's why.

01 You don't actually own it
Your website lives on their platform, on their terms. They raise prices, you pay. They remove a feature, you lose it. They go down, you go down. With a bespoke build, you own every line of code and can host it wherever you like. It's yours.
02 You'll outgrow it faster than you think
Builders are great until you need something they can't do. Then it's plugins, workarounds, and duct tape. Before you know it you're paying for three add-ons just to send a proper email. A custom build grows with your business instead of holding it back.
03 Slow sites lose customers
Website builders inject bloated code, third-party trackers, and generic markup. Google notices. Your visitors notice even more. Every extra second of load time costs you conversions. A hand-coded site is lean, fast, and built to rank.
04 Security is someone else's problem (until it's yours)
